How does a bull market looks like

This year, nifty has gained 26% and people who made money are congratulating themselves on their intelligence and skills etc etc.

But what does a bull market look or feel like?

To recap, this is the chart of what a real bull market looks like.

In the chart, the first arrow refers to the month when nifty gained 17% (OCT 2007). At current price levels, it means a min gain of 1700 points in one month.

The second arrow refers to the month when nifty gained 28% (MAY 2009). At current price levels, it means a min gain of 2800 points in one month.

To give a better perspective, note that Nifty gained 55% in 2007 and 76% in 2009.

So what is happening now in markets is a baby bull run... maybe it can grow into a super massive bull run... let's see.

But I am fortunate to have traded in the biggest bull run in India's history when the markets doubled in a span of few months. Of course, the bull run ended with a scam but that is true of almost all bull markets.

I have not answered one question - what does a bull "feel" like... this is for another post.
